GREETING FROM THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Dear friends!

Piano duos are preparing to meet again in St. Petersburg, the historical cultural center of our Motherland.
"The Dialogues of the Neva Shores" will bring together children and adults, pianists from different cities and countries as well as composers, teachers and musicologists.
Piano duo is a unique form of creativity, implying co-creation, friendship and peace; it was due to its mission of harmony that we got the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
It is quite natural that we gain friends whom we share with our joy of meeting and making music together — these friends are outstanding cultural figures, actors, solo singers and choirs, reciters, and performers of instruments other than piano, including rare folk ones.
This time, the Folk Costume Fashion Theater show, a photo exhibition, and a series of historical films will enrich the Festival.
As for the concert program of this season, the fact that it is centered around the anniversary of Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka, the first Russian classical composer imposes a special responsibility on us.
Dear participants and guests! We look forward to meeting with our favorite performers, our sensitive and attentive listeners and are infinitely glad to meet new guests.
Welcome to St. Petersburg!

Symbolism

Symbolism
St. Petersburg is one of the world’s cultural centers, providing an opportunity for a variety of forms of open dialogue: between friendly nations, between performers and listeners, between mentors and students. This idea is clearly reflected in the name of the festival "Dialogues of the Nevsky Shores".
The festival’s emblem depicts two spans of an open drawbridge across the Neva River in the form of two grand pianos, symbolizing a piano ensemble. Seagulls in flight evoke associations with creative inspiration. The Peter and Paul Fortress, the date of foundation of which is the date of the foundation of St. Petersburg, is a symbol that gives a reference to the history of the city.
