The goal is to create a space for creative communication and open cultural dialogue between children and adults, aimed at the continuity of generations, the transfer of professional experience, and the harmonization of relations between people of different generations and nationalities.
The tasks are
• to implement the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation "Approval of the Foundations of the Federal Cultural Policy" dated December 24, 2014 No. 808 (with amendments by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated January 25, 2023 No. 35);
• to attract public attention to the genre of piano duo.
- to arrange premieres of works in the genre of piano duo.
- to Improve the professional skills of novice ensemble performers and university music majors ;
• to enhance performing culture, personal qualities as well as spiritual and moral guidelines of the younger generation at master classes of experienced teachers;
• to develop creative contacts and exchange opinions. '
Musicians from different cities of Russia — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Lugansk, Novosibirsk, Petrozavodsk, Yekaterinburg, as well as foreign countries (China, South Korea, Armenia) are planning to take part in the International Piano Duo Festival "Dialogues of the Neva Shores".
Concerts of the Festival shall be held at the Mikhail Matusovsky Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts , the hall of the St. Petersburg Union of Composers, the A. V. Molchanov Library Cultural Complex (Library No. 4), the I. S. Avramkova Concert Hall of the Institute of Music, Theater and Choreography of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the Concert Hall of the Isaac Schwartz's House Museum in the town of Siversky, Leningrad region.The final gala concert shall take place in the M. I. Glinka Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmony named after D. D. Shostakovich.
As part of the project, a roundtable is planned at the Institute of Music, Theater and Choreography of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.
The concert programs of the festival shall feature equal participation of professional pianists', university music majors' and children's duos, Children's duos shall be selected considering their noteworthy stage appearances during the year (namely, successful participation in international, national and regional competitions and other projects). Participation in the festival is free of charge. Applications of music majors from other cities shall be considered by Organizing Committee of the festival on the basis of video recordings.
In order to transfer professional experience and create harmonious relations between musicians of different generations, it is planned to hold master classes by well-known specialists in the genre of piano duo.
