Sergey Ekimov

Rimsky-Korsakov Music College (in 2000−2022); Artistic director of the International Choral Art Festival "Singing World" (St. Petersburg); author of the idea and artistic director of the International Competition for Young Choral Conductors and Conductors of Folk Instruments Orchestras (St. Petersburg) and of the International Professor Valery UspenskyCompetition for Choral Conductors (St. Petersburg); laureate of international contests.
Member of the Union of Composers of Russia, the Association of Concert Performers of the Russian Federation, the Interregional Association of Concert Performers, the Folk and Choral Groups Association of the Classical Music Performance Guild at the Russian Musical Union, the Council for Culture of the St. Petersburg Diocese, the Board of Directors of the publishing house "Composer • St. Petersburg", the Presidium of the Board of the St. Petersburg Union of Composers, chair of the Choral Section at the St. Petersburg Union of Composers.
Sergey Ekimov was awarded the St. Petersburg Government Prize, the Certificate of Appreciation and Certificate of Honor from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the award of Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga in the field of culture and the arts, the St. Tatiana badge of honor "Mentor of Youth" for many years of educational and social activities, the Syktyvkar Diocese’s Three Saints Medal of the first degree, and the jubilee medal "In Memory of 350th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese".
In 2022, he was awarded the academic title of professor for his research and educational activities.
